Job summary

UnitedHealth Group's Elite Home Health, part of LHC Group, a nationwide post-acute care partner, seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant to deliver treatment and education under the plan of care and to support patients and families.

Primary responsibilities include following state laws, assisting with exercise therapy, observing patient responses, and coordinating with the care team; the role offers a comprehensive benefits package and an hourly wage range of $28.00–$42.00.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified Physical Therapist Assistant to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client.

Responsibilities

• Following all state laws governing the provision of physical therapy in home care and adhering to the plan of care defined by the supervising PT.
• Instructs and aids patients in active and passive exercise, muscle re-education, gait, functional, ADL, transfer, safety, and prosthetic training.
• Observes, records, and reports patient response to treatment and changes in condition; coordinates care with the health care team.
• Instructs patient, family, caregiver, and other health care team members in therapy within the scope of the PTA.
