Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a Physical Therapist for per diem day shifts in Texas. You will provide home health physical therapy visits, focusing on movement, function, and independence for patients in their homes. Reexaminations occur every 30 days with adjustments to interventions as needed.

Candidates must hold a TX PT license, be CAPTE-eligible, and have CPR certification. Prior home health experience is valued; compensation includes competitive benefits and flexibility.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy educational program as set by CAPTE.
• Current license to practice physical therapy in the state.
• CPR certification is required.
• One year of related physical therapy experience for PTs entering home health care.

Responsibilities

• Help patients maintain, restore and improve movement, activity and function.
• Conduct reexaminations every 30 days and modify interventions as needed.
• Perform discharge planning and other duties as assigned.
