Job summary

Cuidado Casero Home Health of New Mexico in Anthony, NM 88021 is seeking a Part-Time Physical Therapy Assistant to work under a Licensed Physical Therapist in a home health setting. The TA will assist with planned treatments, document progress, and educate patients and families.

Candidates should be licensed as a PTA in New Mexico and ideally have 1–2 years of health care experience, with strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills for a fast-paced clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school for Physical Therapy Assistant with a minimum of two years of study.
• Currently licensed in the State as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Prefer 1–2 years of health care experience.
• Demonstrated leadership and team skills.
• Good organization and time-management abilities.
• Ability to communicate clearly with staff and patients.
• Experience working with diverse teams and maintaining confidentiality.
• Proficiency in reading, writing and speaking English; Spanish preferred.
• Proficiency with standard office software and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide client care services planned and delegated by the physical therapist.
• Participate in preparing clinical and progress notes.
• Educate clients and families.
• Attend in-service programs and discharge planning with the team.
• Ensure notes are reviewed and cosigned by a Registered Physical Therapist.
• Support evaluation and treatment planning under supervision.
• Instruct staff and family in therapy activities as needed.
• Document patient progress and communicate changes to the physician.
