Job summary

Mercy Health Corporation invites applications for a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA). The PTA assists the licensed physical therapist in administering home-based treatment to patients with injuries, neurological conditions, developmental delays, or musculoskeletal disorders, aiming to restore function and prevent disability.

You will assist with therapeutic exercises, help patients learn activities of daily living, monitor responses to treatment, and collaborate with the physical therapy team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• License to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant in Wisconsin and/or Illinois; CPR/BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Administers active and passive therapeutic exercises, balance and proprioceptive training, and various modalities.
• Instructs patients to improve functional activities such as walking, transfers, ambulation and daily living tasks.
