Job summary

Mederi Caretenders Home Health, part of the Optum family of businesses, seeks a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to provide treatment and education to patients in their homes, under a supervising PT.

You will guide exercise, gait, and ADL activities, document progress, and collaborate with nurses and physicians. A $7,500 sign-on bonus is offered for full-time employment plus a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
• Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle or reliable transportation
• Preferred CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, transferring, and assisting with mobility

Responsibilities

• Follow state-specific laws governing home PT practice under the supervising PT
• Instructs and aids patients in active and passive exercise, gait, ADL, and mobility training
• Observes and reports patient response to treatment and coordinates with care team
• Instructs patients, families, and caregivers in therapy within PTA scope
• Function effectively in diverse home environments with equity and respect
