Job summary

Mederi Caretenders Home Health, part of LHC Group, within the Optum family, is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant in Florida. The PTA will perform treatment and provide exercise instruction and patient education per the established plan of care, with a $7,500 sign-on bonus for full-time PTAs.

Responsibilities include following state laws, assisting with gait, ADLs, and transfers, reporting to the supervising PT, coordinating with the healthcare team, and instructing patients and caregivers

Qualifications

• Licensed PTA in state of practice.
• Valid driver’s license and transportation available.
• Weekend rotation availability.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws and supervising PT’s plan of care.
• Instruct patients in active and passive exercise and gait training.
• Observe and report patient progress to the supervising PT and care team.
• Educate patient, family, and caregivers on therapy within PTA scope.
• Maintain ability to work in diverse home environments.
