Job summary

Mederi Caretenders Home Health, part of the Optum family, seeks a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to provide in-home therapy under a supervising PT. You will perform treatments, teach exercises, and educate patients to improve well-being in line with the plan of care.

This full-time role includes a $7,500 sign-on bonus, requires Florida PTA licensure, and includes weekend rotations. Join a team dedicated to caring for patients and supporting families across home health services.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.
• Preferred CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to perform physical tasks required for patient care, including lifting, transferring, and assisting with mobility.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws governing home care physical therapy and perform only procedures defined by the supervising PT.
• Instructs and aids patients in active and passive exercise, gait, ADL, transfer, safety, and prosthetic training.
• Observes and reports patient responses; coordinates care with the healthcare team.
• Instructs patient, family, caregiver in therapy within the scope of the physical therapy assistant.
• Function in any home setting regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition.
