Job summary

Optum is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant for home health in Florida. You will perform treatment and exercise instruction under a supervising PT, educating patients and families, and coordinating care with the health team.

Requirements include being a licensed PTA and a valid driver’s license. CPR preferred; ability to lift and assist mobility is required. Sign-on bonus of $7,500 for full-time employment is offered.

Qualifications

• Must be a currently licensed PTA
• Must have a valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws governing home PT, perform treatments per supervising PT
• Instructs/exercises with patients: active/passive, gait, ADL, transfer, safety
• Observes and reports patient responses to treatment to supervising PT and care team
• Educates patient, family, caregiver on therapy within PTA scope
• Function in any home setting regardless of age, race, creed, or condition
