Job summary

UnitedHealth Group seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for home health care in Florida. Eligible for a $7,500 sign-on bonus for full-time PTA positions. The role involves executing treatment plans under a supervising PT, educating patients and families, and coordinating with the care team.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy.
• Current driver's license and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.
• CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, transferring, and assisting with mobility.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws governing physical therapy in home care and perform only physician-approved procedures.
• Instruct and assist patients in exercises, gait, ADLs, transfers, safety, and prosthetic training.
• Observe, document, and report patient responses to treatment to the supervising PT and care team.
• Educate patient, family, and care team on therapy within PTA scope.
• Function in diverse home settings regardless of background.
