Job summary

UnitedHealth Group's Assured Home Health, part of LHC Group within the Optum family, is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant in Washington. You will support patients at home under a supervising Physical Therapist, providing treatment and education to enhance well-being.

Responsibilities include guiding exercise, coordinating with the healthcare team, and educating patients and families. A weekend rotation is required, and a WA license/certification is essential to join this team.

Qualifications

• Licensed or certified to assist in physical therapy in Washington state.
• Valid driver's license with access to a vehicle or reliable public transport.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.
• CPR certification preferred or to be completed within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, transferring, and mobility support.

Responsibilities

• Perform treatment and provide exercise instruction under supervising PT.
• Educate patients and families to improve well-being per plan of care.
• Record patient responses and coordinate care with the healthcare team.
• Instruct patients, families, and caregivers in therapy activities.
• Maintain ability to work in diverse home settings and with all patients.
