Job summary

Commonwealth Home Health, part of the LHC Group and Optum family, seeks an Occupational Therapy Assistant to deliver therapy to patients in a home health setting. The role includes following the plan of care established by the supervising OT and adhering to state regulations while supporting patient independence.

The position is full-time (32 hours+) with potential consideration for 20+ hours for part-time.

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure in state of practice.
• Current driver’s license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy to patients to restore their fullest physical ability.
• Follow state laws and the plan of care defined by the supervising OT.
• Observe and report patient responses to treatment to supervisor and physician.
• Instruct patient, family, caregiver, and health team in therapy within scope of practice.
• Function with sensitivity to age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition.
