Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant for Commonwealth Home Health, part of LHC Group under the Optum family. This full-time role (32 hours weekly) provides OT services in patients' homes, delivering care that restores physical ability and supports family members.

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure in state of practice.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy to patients to restore their fullest physical ability.
• Follow the plan of care, instructions and supervising OT's treatment within state laws.
• Observe, record, and report to the nurse supervisor and physician the patient's response to treatment and changes to their condition.
• Instruct patient, family, caregiver, and other health care team members in therapy within the scope of the occupational therapy assistant.
• Function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition.
