Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide skilled home health therapy under the supervision of an occupational therapist. You will implement treatment plans, monitor patient progress, and document outcomes to support functional independence in daily living activities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an occupational therapy assistant program, ACOTE-accredited.
• Current license to practice as an OTA in the assigned state.
• Driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Current CPR certification.
• Eligible to take or have completed NBCOT entry-level exam.
• One year related OTA experience; if less, regional clinical leaders' approval required.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled interventions under the supervision of an occupational therapist.
• Document visits per AOTA guidelines for the patient’s medical record.
• Observe and report patient response and changes to the supervising OT and care team.
• Provide resources for future ADL/IADL needs.
• Promote wellness and engagement in daily activities.
• Demonstrate knowledge of community resources and services.
• Coordinate follow-up care with admitting care center.
• Stay current with OT practice trends and care coordination.
