Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to deliver skilled home-based therapies under OT supervision, improving daily living skills and functional independence. You will document outcomes and ensure compliance with physician orders and regulatory requirements.

Care will focus on patient-centered rehabilitation in the home, with emphasis on safety and effective treatment planning. AOTA guidelines drive documentation and care coordination.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an OTA program accredited by ACOTE.
• Current license to practice as an OTA in the assigned state.
• Eligible to take NBCOT certification examination.
• Current CPR certification.
• 1+ years of OTA experience; if less than 1 year, mentoring/residency approval required.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled interventions under the supervision of an OT per plan of care.
• Documents visits per AOTA guidelines and regulatory standards.
• Observes and reports patient progress and changes to the supervising OT.
• Provides patient/caregiver resources for ADL/IADL needs.
• Promotes wellness and occupational engagement.
• Identifies community resources/services for patients.
• Coordinates follow-up care with the admitting care center.
• Keeps up with OT trends and documentation practices.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
