Job summary

Adara Home Health, Inc. seeks a licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant to deliver occupational therapy services in clients' homes under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. You will travel to Pine City and surrounding areas to provide one-on-one client care during 1–3 hour visits.

The role requires a MN OTA license and at least two years of healthcare experience, with strong interpersonal and teaching skills. A reliable vehicle and documentation duties are part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a two-year COTA program leading to an associate degree and MN licensure in good standing.
• Have at least two years of healthcare experience; home care preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, teaching, and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for client visits.

Responsibilities

• Provides treatments to restore and enhance physical and psychosocial function under supervision of a licensed OT.
• Carries out maintenance programs developed by the licensed OT.
• Demonstrates home therapy programs to the client, family, or caregiver as directed by the OT.
• Reinforces home therapy teaching to client, family, or caregivers.
• Maintains clinical documentation per company policy.
• Confers with the OT regarding progress and Plan of Care changes.
• Participates in case conferences and in-service education.
• Maintains positive communication with staff and participates in team concepts.
• Maintains confidentiality of all client, family, and employee information.
• OTAs cannot perform evaluation, planning, or changes to plans of care, or orthotics fabrication.
