Job summary

Adara Home Health in Minnesota is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to provide in-home therapy under the supervision of a licensed OT. You will travel to clients’ homes for 1:1 sessions and implement maintenance programs per the Plan of Care.

Applicants should have a two-year COTA degree and MN license, two years in healthcare, and a valid driver’s license. The role offers full-time or part-time options with benefits and mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a two-year COTA college program leading to an associate degree and MN license in good standing.
• At least two years of experience in a health care setting; home care preferred.
• Strong interpersonal communication and teaching skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation for home visits.

Responsibilities

• Provides treatments to restore and enhance the client’s physical and psychosocial function under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
• Carries out maintenance programs developed by the licensed Occupational Therapist.
• Demonstrates therapy program to the client, family, or caregivers as directed by the OT.
• Reinforces home therapy program instructions to client and family as directed by the OT.
• Maintains documentation for the clinical record as required by Company policy.
• Confers with the OT regarding client progress and Plan of Care changes.
• Participates in case conferences and in-service education.
• Maintains communication with staff and participates in the team concept.
• Maintains confidentiality of all client, family, and employee information.
