Job summary

AMEDISYS HOME HEALTH seeks an Occupational Therapist Assistant for full-time day visits in Shelton and surrounding communities. You will deliver skilled interventions under OT supervision, document visits, and support patients in ADLs to promote independence at home.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as an occupational therapy assistant in the state of assignment.
• Graduate of an OTA program accredited by ACOTE (AOTA).
• Eligible to take or have completed the NBCOT entry-level certification exam.
• One year of OTA experience preferred; if less, regional mentoring/ residency required.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled interventions under supervision of an OT.
• Document each visit per AOTA guidelines and regulatory standards.
• Observe and report patient responses to treatment and changes in condition.
• Provide patient/caregiver resources for future ADL/IADL needs.
• Promote wellness and occupational engagement; know community resources.
