Supervises
Assistant Billing Coordinator. May take a lead role in the oversight of the office when the clinical manager is out of the office.
Responsibilities
Maintains patient confidentiality per HIPAA and facility regulatory and / or policy guidelines on privacy. Participates in regularly scheduled interdisciplinary team meetings. Upholds the mission, vision and values of Petersburg Medical Center, acting as an ambassador for the Home Health department and its services. Participates in the planning and delivery of services within the Adult Day Program and Senior In-Home Services, promoting high-quality eldercare and community wellness.
Qualifications
Patient care is always first. With this in mind, the Home Health Office Manager must possess the ability to work and manage multiple projects and activities simultaneously. Must have excellent communication skills with a team approach to success, flexibility and perform clerical and billing functions in a concise manner and requires a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Experience
Four (4) years of clerical office experience, preferably in billing health insurance or a healthcare setting.
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements
Moderate to heavy lifting (no greater than 50 pounds) standing, walking, stocking equipment and supplies. Works indoors, in a well-lit and ventilated office.
