Job summary

UnitedHealth Group through Keller Home Care, a part of LHC Group, is seeking an Occupational Therapist Assistant - Per Diem to deliver in-home occupational therapy and help restore patients to their fullest physical ability. You will follow a physician-approved plan of care under supervision and provide care in diverse home environments.

Required licensure, a valid driver's license, and access to reliable transportation are essential.

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure in state of practice.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• AL: Must have 2+ years of experience practicing as an Occupational Therapist.
• Preferred: Current CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws governing home care OT and implement the plan of care as defined by the supervising OT.
• Assist patients with evidence-based treatment within the OTA scope and state regulations.
• Observe, record, and report patient responses and changes to the nurse supervisor and physician.
• Instruct patient, family, caregiver, and other health-care team members in therapy areas within OTA scope.
• Function in diverse home settings regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition.
