Job summary

Aveanna Healthcare is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant for a Part Time PRN role in Florida. You will deliver skilled OT services in home health, following the physician's plan of care and collaborating with the care team to optimize patient outcomes.

Responsibilities include patient education, documentation, discharge planning, and ongoing communication with patients and caregivers. CPR certification and an active OTA license are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Occupational Therapist Assistant education program from an accredited university/program.
• Current, unrestricted state license as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state of practice.
• Valid CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct occupational therapy per OT plan of care and supervision.
• Communicate with patient/caregiver about the plan of care and progress.
• Deliver skilled therapy services and treatments to support function and safety.
• Document observations and progress in timely patient records.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe device use and rehab strategies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to discuss patient plan of care.
• Plan discharge instructions and coordinate follow-up care.
• Attend in-service programs and maintain professional standards.
