Job summary

Aveanna Healthcare is seeking a Part Time PRN Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide skilled education, treatment, and interventions in the home health setting for patients in the Orlando area. The role collaborates with an interdisciplinary team and adheres to the physician's plan of care.

Responsibilities include administering therapy, updating caregivers, documenting progress, and assisting with discharge planning, while maintaining confidentiality and complying with ethical standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an OTA education program accredited by a recognized authority.
• Current, unrestricted OT A license in Florida or state of practice.
• Valid CPR certification, driver’s license and automobile insurance.
• Reliable documentation of credentials and eligibility to work

Responsibilities

• Provide direct occupational therapy according to the plan of care.
• Communicate updates to patients and caregivers about the plan of care.
• Deliver skilled therapy, treatments and procedures as directed.
• Record observations and report changes to supervisor and physician.
• Educate patients and caregivers on use of assistive devices and equipment.
• Assist with discharge planning and patient/family instructions.
• Maintain timely documentation and ensure confidentiality.
