Job summary

Carilion Clinic is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a full-time float home health position based out of the Roanoke office, covering Roanoke and surrounding areas in Southwest Virginia.

The role involves interpreting physician referrals, performing age-appropriate assessments, and implementing individualized treatment plans. Supervises OTAs and collaborates with the care team, with mileage reimbursement and potential sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program (required).
• Licensed to practice as an Occupational Therapist in Virginia (required).
• BLS-certified (Carilion-approved) within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Interpret physician referrals and perform patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Coordinate patient care with families, therapists, managers and physicians; document in medical records.
• Supervise OTAs and collaborate with therapy staff to ensure quality patient care.
• Possibly provide guidance to volunteers, students or contract staff and participate in in-services and program development.
