Job summary

Greater NY Nursing Services seeks a Clinical Nurse Educator to lead orientation and hands-on training for home health clinicians. You will teach in classrooms, labs, and one-on-one settings, focusing on ventilator care, tracheostomy, and G-tube management, while ensuring regulatory compliance and high clinical standards.

You will evaluate clinician competency, provide mentorship, and develop educational materials.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted RN license in NY.
• BSN preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years clinical nursing experience, home care, private duty, or community-based care.
• Experience in nursing education, staff development, precepting, or clinical instruction preferred.
• Strong experience with ventilator, tracheostomy, and G-tube patients preferred.
• Ability to educate, mentor, and coach adult learners.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
• EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct orientation and training programs for newly hired clinicians, ensuring policies, procedures, and standards are followed.
• Provide classroom, skills lab, and one-on-one clinical instruction.
• Educate on ventilator, tracheostomy, and G-tube care and other clinical competencies.
• Evaluate clinician competency through skills assessments and performance reviews.
• Provide mentorship and constructive feedback to support professional development.
• Develop and maintain educational materials and validation tools.
• Collaborate with Recruitment, HR, Coordination, and Clinical teams on onboarding.
• Serve as a clinical resource for field staff on patient care practices.
• Maintain training records in accordance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Promote a positive learning environment and continuous improvement.
