Job summary

The Pennant Group, through Nova Hospice, is seeking a Marketing/Referral Development professional in Houston to build relationships with physicians, hospitals, and other health care decision makers to promote home health services.

You will educate referral sources and families, secure timely consents, and work with admissions and clinical staff to grow patient census under the direction of the Executive Director.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a health-related field preferred.
• Minimum of two years' experience in referral development, marketing, or sales with a healthcare facility or medical-related company.
• Ability to communicate with people of all socioeconomic backgrounds.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities and conditions.
• Must have and maintain reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Current relationships with healthcare facilities or medical professionals in the area with a proven track record of success.
• Self-motivated with a desire and ability to succeed.

Responsibilities

• Establish relationships with physicians, hospitals, nursing facilities, and other healthcare decision makers to promote home care services.
• Obtain referrals and ensure consents are signed by families and patients.
• Educate community, referral sources, patients, and families on home health services via planned activities.
• Develop relationships with admissions and clinical staff to ensure effective communication with referral customers.
• Work with the Executive Director to develop and execute strategic marketing plans to grow the patient census.
• Represent the company at community and business meetings to promote services.
