Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure in state of practice.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client.

Responsibilities

• Follow state-specific laws and the supervising OT's treatment plan in home care.
• Instructs and aids patients in evidence-based treatment within OT assistant scope.
• Observe and report patient responses and changes to the nurse supervisor and physician.
• Educate patient, family, caregiver, and health team on therapy within the OT assistant scope.
