Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to support patient care under supervision, assisting with initial assessments and individualized treatment plans.

You will document progress, administer appropriate modalities, and maintain patient records, while promoting education within the department and understanding age-specific needs from neonatal to geriatric. Current licensure and BLS CPR certification are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant program.
• Current license for Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant or eligible for licensure in state of practice.
• BLS certification must be current.
• One year experience preferred but new graduates may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist with initial patient assessment under supervision.
• Document course of care including progress notes and treatment needs.
• Administer appropriate modalities, exercises, or treatments per policy.
• Maintain progress notes and records for each patient.
