Job summary

Affirmed Home Care is hiring per diem Home Health Aides (HHAs) for Long Island, offering starting pay of $19.65-$20.00 per hour with a sign-on bonus and weekly direct deposit. Flexible shifts and immediate case placements help you tailor your schedule to your needs.

We currently have both per diem and live-in opportunities across Long Island, with shifts ranging from 4 to 12 hours. If you’re reliable and compassionate, we’ll match you with cases that suit your availability and experience,

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of HHA experience.
• Valid NY HHA Certificate.
• Eligibility to work in the U.S.
• Physical within the last 12 months
• PPD or QuantiFERON within the last 12 months, or chest X-ray within the last 5 years
• MMR immunization within the last 10 years

Responsibilities

• As a Home Health Aide, you’ll provide dependable, hands‑on care while helping clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their homes.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Assist with transfers and mobility.
• Prepare light meals.
• Companionship and emotional support.
• Assist with daily activities.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Assisting with personal care and hygiene
• Providing medication reminders
• Assisting with transfers and mobility
• Preparing light meals
• Companionship and emotional support
• Assisting with daily activities

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

• Minimum 1 year of HHA experience
• Valid NY HHA Certificate
• Experience assisting with transfers and mobility
• Eligibility to work in the U.S.
• Physical within the last 12 months
• PPD or QuantiFERON within the last 12 months, or chest X-ray within the last 5 years
• MMR immunization within the last 10 years
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for applicable cases
