Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking a Home Care Aide to provide personal care and emotional support to patients in home settings. The role operates under supervision of a Registered Nurse or licensed therapist and follows a treatment plan to meet patients' needs daily.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, CNA and BLS certifications, and a valid driver's license with reliable transportation. Proficiency with Microsoft Office is expected. EOE.

Qualifications

• Education: High School/GED.
• Licenses/Certifications: CNA-Certified Nurses Assistant.
• Other Licenses/Certifications: Valid Drivers License in current status.
• Own transportation and auto insurance.
• BLS Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and emotional comfort to patients in their homes.
• Travel to patient homes and deliver in-home care daily.
• Ensure age-appropriate and holistic care addressing physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs.

Expected pay for this position is $18.98 - $22.34/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: The Home Care Aide is under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Physical Therapist/Occupational Therapist and in accordance with a plan of treatment to provide personal care and emotional comfort to patients in a variety of settings. The Home Care aide travels to patient homes and provides in-home care to assigned patients daily. The care provided must be age appropriate and the physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs of the patients are to be met.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: High School/GED
• Licenses/Certifications: CNA-Certified Nurses Assistant
• Other Licenses/Certifications: Valid Drivers License in current status

• Other skills/knowledge: Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
