Job summary

Assisting Hands Schaumburg is seeking compassionate caregivers, CNAs, and home health aides to provide high-quality non-medical care to seniors and individuals in their own homes in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago.

Our team helps clients maintain independence and dignity while offering support throughout their day. We offer competitive hourly pay, mileage reimbursement, referral bonuses, sick time, and comprehensive benefit options.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of caregiving experience preferred.
• Experience in home care or CNA/HHA roles is a plus.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care such as bathing, grooming and dressing.
• Provide companionship and meaningful social interaction.
• Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping.
• Support mobility and daily activities.
• Follow individualized care plans and schedules; promote safety and independence.
• Document care provided and communicate changes to the office.

Your Role as a Caregiver

Care needs vary from client to client. Depending on the individual's care plan, your responsibilities may include:

• Assisting with personal care, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
• Providing companionship and meaningful social interaction
• Preparing meals and assisting with light housekeeping
• Supporting clients with mobility and daily activities
• Following individualized care plans and schedulesPromoting client safety, comfort, and independence
• Documenting care provided and communicating changes or concerns to the office

What We're Looking For

We are seeking caregivers who are compassionate, patient, professional, and committed to providing quality care.

Preferred experience:

• At least 1 year of caregiving experience preferred
• Experience in home care, private duty, CNA, HHA, or a similar caregiving setting is a plus

Required:

• Reliable transportation
• Valid driver's license
• Current auto insurance

A plus:

• CPR/First Aid certification
