Job summary

Assisting Hands Schaumburg is hiring caregivers, CNAs, and Home Health Aides to provide one-on-one in-home support for seniors and individuals in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago. You’ll follow each client’s care plan and contribute to a safe, respectful home environment.

We value compassion, reliability, and the ability to work independently while traveling to client locations across Schaumburg, Hoffman Estates, Palatine and surrounding areas. Training and support are provided.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of caregiving experience is preferred.
• Experience as caregiver/CNA/HHA valued but not required.
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal care
• Helping with meals and light housekeeping
• Providing companionship and conversation
• Assisting with walking, mobility, and daily routines
• Helping clients stay active and engaged
• Providing reminders and support throughout the day
• Following the client's established care plan
• Reporting changes, concerns, or important updates to the office
• Maintaining accurate documentation of the care you provide

The Work You'll Do

No two clients are exactly alike. Your schedule and responsibilities will depend on the individual care plan, but your day may include:

Experience

At least 1 year of caregiving experience is preferred.

Experience as a caregiver, CNA, HHA, private-duty caregiver, or home care professional is highly valued but not required.

You Must Have

• Reliable transportation
• Valid driver's license
• Current auto insurance

CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.

Where You'll Be Working

We provide care across the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago, including: Schaumburg, Hoffman Estates, Palatine, Rolling Meadows, Elk Grove Village, Des Plaines, Park Ridge, Surrounding Areas.

A note about location: The location listed with this position identifies one of the communities we serve. It does not represent the only area where you may work or necessarily our office location. Caregivers must be willing to travel to other communities within our service area when client assignments require it.
