Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania seeks a Certification, Accreditation and Licensing Inspector Trainee to learn inspection methods supporting statewide safety and compliance goals. You will gain hands-on experience with guidance from seasoned staff in safety inspections, lead abatement and asbestos programs, and reporting requirements.

This full-time role is home headquartered in PA with a standard 8:00 AM–4:00 PM schedule.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in building maintenance or construction, workplace safety or inspection, retail sales, or customer service.
• Equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Active motor vehicle license.

Responsibilities

• Assist with inspections of bedding, upholstery, stuffed toys, and related records to assess compliance.
• Assist in ultraviolet device testing and analyze results for disinfection processes.
• Assist with inspections of asbestos and lead abatement sites and take corrective actions.
• Audit training providers handling asbestos and lead abatement programs.
• Respond to public inquiries and interpret regulations for contractors and training providers.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain daily and monthly activity logs.
