Job summary

Sekisui House U.S., Inc. is seeking a Loan Officer to act as a liaison between applicants and our financial institution, helping qualified applicants obtain loans and set up payment plans. You will meet with applicants, prepare proposals, and review active loans.

The role requires knowledge of loan regulations, strong customer service, and the ability to work in a fast-paced office while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 1 year experience as loan officer preferred but not required.
• Knowledgeable in escrow from opening to closing is advantageous.
• Strong customer service and communication skills required.
• Proficient with Windows/Word/Excel/Outlook and standard office software.

Responsibilities

• Meet with loan applicants to identify needs and collect information for loan applications.
• Analyze active loan files and recommend solutions to speed up the loan process.
• Complete loan contracts and educate clients on policies and regulations.
• Interview applicants to define financial eligibility and establish debt payment plans.
• Monitor and update account records and submit loan applications in a timely manner.
• Prepare detailed loan proposals and explain deficiencies to applicants.
• Respond to applicants' questions and resolve loan-related issues.
• Operate in compliance with laws and regulations.
