Job summary

Innovative Renal Care is seeking a Home Training PD Registered Nurse to evaluate and train dialysis facility patients, care partners and families for the home PD program. You will promote patient rights, privacy, dignity, and safety while applying expertise in peritoneal dialysis equipment and procedures.

The role requires at least 12 months of nursing experience, RN licensure, BLS and CPR, plus familiarity with home dialysis modalities.

Qualifications

• Registered Professional Nurse with current state licensure.
• Twelve (12) months of nursing experience.
• Meets all applicable state/licensing requirements.
• Additional three (3) months of experience in the specific modality unless otherwise specified in specific state regulations.
• Documented training and experience in peritoneal dialysis and/or home hemodialysis and maintenance of the dialysis access.
• Basic training certificates if less than one (1) year in this modality.
• Previous supervisory and teaching experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current CPR Certification
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively with clients and fellow employees.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and train the dialysis facility's home peritoneal dialysis patients, care partners and families for the home dialysis program.
• Ensure an atmosphere which respects patient privacy, dignity and well-being in a safe environment.
• Demonstrate familiarity with peritoneal dialysis equipment, procedures and knowledge to care for dialysis patients.
