Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Professional Nurse with current Florida licensure.
• Twelve (12) months of nursing experience.
• Meets all applicable state/licensing requirements.
• Additional three (3) months of experience in the specific modality unless otherwise specified in specific state regulations.
• Documented training and experience in peritoneal dialysis and/or home hemodialysis and maintenance of the dialysis access.
• Basic training certificates if less than one (1) year in this modality.
• Previous supervisory and teaching experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current CPR Certification
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret documents; effective communication with clients and staff.

Responsibilities

• The Home Training Registered Nurse evaluates, trains, and provides support to the dialysis facility's home patients, care partners, and families.
• Ensures an atmosphere that protects privacy, dignity, and well-being of all patients in a safe, secure environment.
• Demonstrates familiarity with dialysis procedures and the knowledge, skills, and judgment to care for dialysis patients at home.
