Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Winchester, Kentucky is seeking a Home Therapies RN CAP 1. This entry level role supports the CAP program, provides and coordinates care for an assigned group of patients on home dialysis, and works with physicians to address issues.

You will train patients and families, administer medications per protocol, document outcomes, and participate in quality improvement. Travel to patient homes or training sites may be required as part of routine duties.

Qualifications

• Entry level RN with less than 2 years of nephrology nursing.
• Minimum of 1 year RN experience (preferred).
• Home dialysis therapy experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist and coordinate clinically competent care for assigned patients.
• Assess and document patient response to home dialysis training and treatment.
• Educate patients and families on home dialysis care and treatment plans.
• Administer medications per prescribed protocols and document effectiveness.
• Initiate or assist with emergency response measures when needed.
• Participate in staff training and quality improvement activities.
