Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a Patient Care Technician I in the Home Therapies program in California. The role operates under the HT RN supervision to support safe home dialysis training and equipment setup within clinic policies and CMS guidelines.

Responsibilities include reinforcing HHD/PD training, collecting vitals, coordinating with the HT RN and staff, and ensuring proper documentation and supplies are ready for patient visits and home visits as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CMS-approved state or national certification within the required state.
• All appropriate state licensure, education, and training (if any) required.
• Previous patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reinforces home HHD/PD training as permitted by law.
• Identify and welcome patients; collect vitals & weights for intake.
• Maintain communication with HT RN and care team.
• Obtain treatment records and report missing/abnormal data.
• Prepare lab specimens and assist with blood/urine sample handling.
