Job summary

Crate and Barrel is seeking a Designer to drive elevated customer experiences through in-store, in-home and virtual design interactions. You will create moodboards, 2D/3D floor plans, and compelling presentations to showcase design offerings.

You will lead design consultations, translate brand aesthetics into tailored solutions, and collaborate with store teams to deliver projects on time while achieving sales and service goals.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of relevant experience in Furniture Sales/Home Decor Design or retail/customer service.
• Ability to translate brand aesthetics into client needs and present solutions clearly.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with customers.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and a differentiated experience by providing enriching customer interactions and elevated design offerings in-store, in-home and virtually.
• Create elevated designs using moodboards, 2D & 3D floor plans, product lists and customer presentations.
• Lead design consultations in person or via email, phone and virtual channels.
• Deliver projects on time and within timelines.
• Understand brand aesthetics and merchandising strategy by channel; Store, E‑Commerce, Catalog.
• Stay informed on product information, care details, competition and industry trends.
• Deliver sales, KPI and service goals, and engage customers on the sales floor.
• Listen to customers to identify products meeting needs and communicate loyalty services.
• Model excellent service with a positive attitude, ensuring gracious, quick and efficient service.
• Support design services training to drive understanding of offerings.
• Develop relationships with customers through networking and clienteling.
• Understand basic design functions including spatial planning, fabric selection and lighting.
• Communicate brand vision and customer needs clearly and effectively.
• Stay current with design trends and adapt to business evolution.
