Job summary

AAA Cooper Transportation, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Local Driver to perform safe pick-up and delivery of freight within a limited area. As a full-time driver, you will be paid per load and hourly, with Sunday–Friday schedules varying by customer needs, and you will be home daily.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 21 years or older.
• Class A CDL required.
• Pass DOT drug screen and DOT physical.
• Background check required.
• One year driving experience required.
• Pass ACT road test.
• Flexible hours.
• Forklift certification possible.
• Read/write/speak English well.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform safe and legal operation of commercial motor vehicles.
• Check shipping papers to determine if the load complies with regulations.
• Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Develop and maintain professional relations with the public.
• Drive truck to destination per federal regulations.
• Ensure shipping documentation is available for inspection.
