AAA Cooper Transportation, Inc. is seeking a Dedicated Local Driver to perform pickup and delivery of freight within a limited area.

Local drivers are paid hourly and typically work Sunday through Friday, with schedule variations based on customer needs. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 21 years or older.
• Class A CDL with hazardous materials and doubles/triples endorsements.
• Pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and DOT physical.
• Background check satisfactory.
• 2 years driving experience preferred or 100,000 miles over the road.

Responsibilities

• Perform safe and legal operation of commercial motor vehicles.
• Check shipping papers to ensure load compliance with regulations.
• Maintain records for state and federal regulatory compliance.
• Develop and maintain professional relations with the public.
• Drive truck to destination per federal regulations.
• Ensure shipping documentation is available for inspection.
• Hook and unhook trailers and operate landing gear.
• Inspect equipment for defects and safe operation.
• Fuel trucks and tractors.
