Job summary

Ernst Concrete is seeking a diligent delivery driver to transport ready‑mix concrete and related products to construction sites within our production areas. This role requires safe operation of trucks, adherence to DOT inspection protocols, and precise handling of delivery tickets.

You will work closely with dispatch, adjust loads with admixtures as directed, verify slump/mix, and handle COD collections. The position emphasizes safety, timely delivery, and reliable on‑site communication.

Qualifications

• Requires a valid CDL with appropriate class endorsements.
• Delivery drivers must read and follow delivery tickets, addresses, and directions.
• Must understand and apply safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Ability to operate basic hand tools and manage routine vehicle maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Deliver ready-mix concrete and related products to construction sites.
• Perform pre- and post-trip DOT inspections and check fluids.
• Receive and review delivery tickets; clarify questions with dispatch.
• Add admixtures and other products as directed; check slump and mix.
• Communicate with dispatchers during delivery; ensure COD collections.
• Refuel and wash truck after unloading; maintain safety at all times.
