Job summary

Ernst Concrete is hiring a delivery driver to transport ready-mix concrete to construction sites. The role requires safe driving, adherence to DOT procedures, and accurate handling of delivery tickets.

You will inspect vehicles, assist with basic maintenance, and coordinate with dispatchers to ensure timely deliveries. The position is on-site and demands physical labor and long hours as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid CDL Class A or B license.
• Willing to undergo pre-employment screening (background, MVR, physical/DOT, drug/alcohol testing).
• Able to read, write, and speak English.
• GPS navigation reading from company tablet.
• Proven safe driving record.
• No unexplained gaps in employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily DOT pre- and post-trip inspections.
• Perform routine plant maintenance, cleaning, use of small power tools.
• Review delivery tickets and confirm addresses with dispatcher.
• Add ingredients as directed on delivery ticket.
• Check slumps and mix of concrete.
• Place chutes from fender to main chute.
• Ensure delivery ticket is signed and recorded.
• Collect COD deliveries in full and return to company.
• Wash truck after unloading.
• Communicate with dispatchers during delivery.
• Refuel truck each evening and as needed.
