Job summary

Family of Kidz seeks a Special Educator to provide targeted, IEP-driven instruction in home and community settings across Suffolk County, NY. You will design engaging, multi-sensory lessons and track progress with data-driven reports, coordinating with school teams and supervisors.

Ideal candidates hold NYS SWD certification, have at least 1 year of relevant experience, and are comfortable with bilingual capabilities.

Qualifications

• NYS Certification in SWD for the listed grades.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in settings supporting children and families preferred.
• Bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with students in home and community settings to target IEP goals.
• Develop creative, multi-sensory lessons aligned to IEP goals.
• Collect data on IEP goals and report progress quarterly.
• Maintain communication with lead supervisors and school team.
• Submit daily attendance and electronic billing.
• Attend professional development trainings to maintain Best Practice.
• Maintain professionalism with parents, teachers, and other professionals.
• Attend CSE meetings.
