Job summary

One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning Livonia is seeking a motivated Home Comfort Advisor to meet homeowners with heating and cooling issues, evaluate needs, present system options, and help customers choose solutions that fit both home and budget.

This sales-focused role emphasizes education, professionalism, and customer trust, with company-provided leads, an established sales process, and ongoing training. Flexibility to work in homes, occasional evenings and Saturdays is expected.

Qualifications

• HVAC experience or knowledge is necessary
• In-home sales experience strongly preferred
• Excellent communication and presentation skills required
• Able to close sales and negotiate effectively
• Professional appearance and confident with homeowners
• Able to explain technical information clearly to customers
• Self-motivated with goal orientation and strong pipeline management
• Organized and able to manage multiple estimates and follow-ups
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Available for occasional evenings and Saturdays when needed

Responsibilities

• Run scheduled in-home HVAC replacement and comfort consultations
• Meet with homeowners and establish trust and rapport
• Evaluate the customer’s heating and cooling needs
• Inspect existing HVAC equipment and identify replacement opportunities
• Explain system options, efficiency ratings, warranties, financing, and upgrades
• Prepare and present professional proposals
• Communicate pricing and payment options clearly
• Follow up with customers on open estimates
• Maintain records of leads, estimates and follow-ups
• Coordinate with installation and service teams for a smooth customer experience
• Maintain knowledge of HVAC equipment and solutions
• Meet or exceed sales and performance goals
• Represent the company professionally in homes and the community

About the Position

One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning Livonia is looking for a motivated, professional, and customer-focused Home Comfort Advisor to join our growing team.

The Home Comfort Advisor will meet with homeowners who are experiencing heating and cooling issues or are interested in upgrading their HVAC system. You will evaluate their comfort needs, explain available solutions, present system options, and help customers make an informed decision that fits their home and budget.

This is a sales-focused position, but our approach is centered around education, professionalism, and finding the right solution for the customer, not high-pressure sales tactics.

Responsibilities

What We're Looking For

• Previous HVAC sales experience preferred


• In-home sales experience strongly preferred


• HVAC industry knowledge is a major advantage


• Strong communication and presentation skills


• Professional appearance and demeanor


• Confident and comfortable speaking with homeowners


• Strong closing and negotiation skills


• Self-motivated and goal-oriented
  
• Organized and able to manage multiple estimates and follow-ups
