Job summary

Assisting Hands Home Care in Schaumburg, IL is seeking caregivers, CNAs, and Home Health Aides who are dependable, compassionate, and eager to make a meaningful difference by providing non-medical support to seniors and individuals in their own homes.

As a caregiver, you will assist with personal care, meals, light housekeeping, mobility, and companionship, following individualized care plans and documenting care. Travel between client locations is expected; commute considerations apply.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a caregiver, you'll provide hands-on assistance and companionship based on each client's individual needs and established care plan. Responsibilities may include:

• Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, and other personal care needs
• Preparing meals and helping with light housekeeping
• Providing companionship and meaningful conversation
• Assisting with walking, mobility, and everyday routines
• Encouraging clients to remain active and engaged
• Providing reminders and general support throughout the day
• Following individualized care plans and client instructions
• Communicating changes, concerns, or important updates to the office
• Accurately documenting care and services provided

Your role goes beyond completing a checklist. You'll help create an environment where clients feel safe, respected, supported, and empowered to maintain their independence.

Experience

At least 1 year of caregiving experience is preferred.

Experience in any of the following is highly valued:

• Home care
• Private-duty care
• Caregiving
• CNA
• HHA
• Other professional caregiving settings
• Previous experience is valued but not required for the right candidate.

Requirements

Candidates must have:

• Reliable personal transportation
• Valid driver's license
• Current auto insurance
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.

Commute Consideration: Our clients are located throughout the Northwest Suburbs, and caregivers are expected to travel to client locations.
