Job summary

Assisting Hands Schaumburg is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide one-on-one home care to clients in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago. You will support seniors in daily activities, follow individualized care plans, and document care provided while engaging with clients warmly.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of caregiving experience is preferred.
• Experience as a caregiver, CNA, HHA, private-duty caregiver, or home care professional is valued but not required.
• Personal reliable transportation is required.
• Valid driver's license and current auto insurance are required.
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal care.
• Help with meals and light housekeeping.
• Provide companionship and conversation.
• Assist with walking, mobility, and daily routines.
• Help clients stay active and engaged and follow care plans.
• Report changes or concerns to the office and maintain care documentation.

The Work You'll Do

No two clients are exactly alike. Your schedule and responsibilities will depend on the individual care plan, but your day may include:

• Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal care
• Helping with meals and light housekeeping
• Providing companionship and conversation
• Assisting with walking, mobility, and daily routines
• Helping clients stay active and engaged
• Providing reminders and support throughout the day
• Following the client's established care plan
• Reporting changes, concerns, or important updates to the office
• Maintaining accurate documentation of the care you provide

Experience
