Job summary

Assisting Hands Home Care - Serving Schaumburg, Park Ridge & Surrounding Areas is seeking dependable caregivers, CNAs, and home health aides who are compassionate and ready to make a meaningful impact in clients' homes. The role offers competitive hourly pay, mileage reimbursement, and opportunities for advancement.

Responsibilities include hands‑on personal care, meal prep, light housekeeping, companionship, and following individualized care plans.

Qualifications

• 1 year caregiving experience preferred.
• CNA/HHA certifications valued.
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a caregiver, you'll provide hands‑on assistance and companionship based on each client's individual needs and established care plan. Responsibilities may include:

• Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, and other personal care needs


• Preparing meals and helping with light housekeeping


• Providing companionship and meaningful conversation


• Assisting with walking, mobility, and everyday routines


• Encouraging clients to remain active and engaged


• Providing reminders and general support throughout the day


• Following individualized care plans and client instructions


• Communicating changes, concerns, or important updates to the office


• Accurately documenting care and services provided

Your role goes beyond completing a checklist. You'll help create an environment where clients feel safe, respected, supported, and empowered to maintain their independence.

Experience

At least 1 year of caregiving experience is preferred.

• Previous experience is valued but not required for the right candidate.

Requirements

Candidates must have:

• Reliable personal transportation


• Valid driver's license


• Current auto insurance


• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.

Our clients are located throughout the Northwest Suburbs, and caregivers are expected to travel to client locations. If you live 1 hour or more from our service area, please consider the commute carefully before applying, as the distance may not be a good fit for this position.
