Job summary

Interim HealthCare is seeking a dependable Home Care Scheduling Coordinator to support our growing Home Care division. You will coordinate caregiver schedules, fill open shifts, respond promptly to call-offs, and maintain clear communication with clients, families, caregivers and the administrative team.

The position is full-time, Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m., with occasional after-hours or on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• Previous home care, healthcare scheduling, staffing or customer-service experience preferred.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and maintain caregiver schedules for Home Care clients.
• Match caregivers according to availability, qualifications, location, client needs and personality compatibility.
• Respond promptly to caregiver call-offs, open shifts and schedule changes.
• Proactively contact qualified caregivers to secure coverage.
• Confirm upcoming shifts and address potential coverage concerns before they become emergencies.
• Communicate schedule updates clearly with clients, families, caregivers and internal team members.
• Maintain accurate schedules, caregiver availability and documentation in AxisCare.
• Monitor attendance, late arrivals, missed clock-ins and unconfirmed shifts.
• Assist with new-client starts, caregiver introductions and ongoing assignments.
• Follow up with clients and caregivers regarding schedule satisfaction and ongoing needs.
• Escalate attendance, performance, client-care or safety concerns to the appropriate manager.
• Protect confidential client and employee information.
