Bay Aging is seeking a Part-Time Home Care Aide to provide in-home care in Gloucester County, VA. You will assist clients with activities of daily living, monitor health and safety, and perform light housekeeping under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
The role includes training new PCAs, documenting services, and coordinating with the RN Supervisor. A Virginia CNA license is required, and HIPAA compliance is expected.

Deliver in-home care services to Bay Aging clients so they can live safely in the community. Provide personal care, health and safety monitoring and light housekeeping. Introduce and coach new Personal Care Aides in the field. Perform administrative work in the office to complete a full-time schedule every week. Report to the Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor.
Follow the individual Care Plan developed by the RN Supervisor.
Perform a limited number of routine tasks prescribed by clients' care plan. Work independently throughout the day. Report to supervisor any change in the client's environment, physical or mental condition.
Has knowledge of medical equipment on usage and basic maintenance such as Hoyer lift, gait belt, wheelchairs, oxygen tanks, catheters, glucometer and any specialized equipment required by the care plan.
Stay current in the knowledge of their profession by completing at least 12 hours of in-service annually
The work is performed in the client's home and in public areas. It requires repeated standing, bending, stooping, pulling, pushing and lifting of weights up to 25lbs unassisted. Regular night, weekend and holiday work required on a regular basis.
None of the essential functions of the position can be performed virtually away from the assigned places of work.
FLSA status: This is a non-exempt position.
