Job summary

Access Personal Care Services, part of the Optum family, is seeking a Per Diem Personal Care Assistant to support clients at home in Emerald Isle, NC. You will assist with activities of daily living and essential household tasks while promoting safety and comfort for clients in their own homes.

The role includes assisting with meals, personal hygiene, transfers, and accompanying clients to appointments. Per diem hours, with hourly pay between $13.00 and $20.00, and a benefits package are

Qualifications

• Current Driver's license and vehicle insurance, or access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Current CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire.
• 6+ months of home care experience.
• Ability to work flexible hours as required to meet clients' needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide or assist with activities of daily living (bathing, hair care, denture care, nail care, skin care, transfers, ambulation, dressing, medication reminders).
• Assist with household tasks essential to client’s personal care.
• Accompany client to medical appointments or shopping and run essential errands.
• Measure and record vital signs when ordered within training limitations.
