Job summary

Modern Support Services is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with I/DD in a caring, hands-on role. You will support clients with community access, personal care, medical appointments, and recreational activities, while acting as a mentor and advocate.

Be at least 21, have a CA driver's license, and pass a background check; prior human services experience is a plus. ASL knowledge is a plus for special opportunities.

Qualifications

• Be 21+ years old.
• Have reliable transportation and a valid CA Driver's License.
• Must pass a background check.
• Previous experience in human services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) in areas such as Community Access, Personal Care, Medical Appointments, Peer Interactions and Recreational Activities.
• Serve as a mentor, teacher, guide, and advocate for clients.
• Collaborate with a supportive, team-oriented environment to ensure high-quality care.
